Blackout Dates Management

Novohit allows you to close the sale of any future night, to do this you must enter: Front Office → Sales → Blackout Dates Management

 The following screen will be displayed, which is explained below:


Step 1: Filter to Determine Blackout Dates:

Year: Select the year to consult.
Month From: Select the month from which the query will start.
# Months: Select the number of months to be displayed in the query.

Step 2: Filter to Determine Blackout Dates:

Agency or Company: You can select from the drop-down list the agency or company to which you will close the sale.
Room Type: The sale can be closed for the entire hotel or by Room Type.

Step 3: Close or Open by Date Range:

Date From: Select the date from which you will start closing the sale.
Date To: Select the date until which you will finish closing the sale.
Open button: Open the sale on the dates indicated above.
Close button: Will close the sale on the dates indicated above.

Step 4: Close or Open by Date Range:

Calendar(s): You can select or deselect any date in the calendar.
Save button: Save the changes made in the previous step.

Step 5: Blackout Dates by Room Type:

Room: The list of Room Types will be displayed indicating whether the sale is open or closed.


Close the sale for a Room Type



Step 1: Select a Room Type.
Step 2: Click on the Search button.
Step 3: Select a date and click on the Save button.
Step 4: The Close Sale icon will be displayed for the room type on the closed date.

Close the sale for one or more Room Types

 -  To select Non-Contiguous room types, hold down the Ctrl key (on Windows) or CMD key (on Mac) while clicking on the room types.
- To select Contiguous room types you can use the above option or drag the mouse pointer over the contiguous room types.


Step 1: Hit Control + Click to select the room types.
Step 2: Click on the Search button.
Step 3: Select the Date(s) to close and click the Save button.
Step 4: The Close Sale icons for the room types on the closed date will be displayed.

Close of Sale by Date Range




Step 1: Select the Date From which you will close the sale.
Step 2: Select the Date To which you will close the sale.
Step 3: Click on the Close or Open button if applicable.
Step 4: The closed dates will be displayed in the calendar.
Step 5: The Room Types will be displayed with the Close Sale icon for the closed dates.
Step 6: To open the sale you can repeat this procedure by clicking on the Open button as indicated in step 3.
