Change Room

Change Room

This application is used to change a guest from one room to another available room.
To access it, select: Front Office → Reception → Change Room

When the screen opens, you will find the following:

Search window, where you can define parameters to locate the desired room. These include:

Room: Allows you to search for a specific room from which the change will be performed.

Guest (Last Name / Name): Allows you to locate the record using the guest’s information, which is useful when the current room number         is not known.

Agency: Filters the records based on the agency associated with the guest’s reservation or stay.

Group: Allows you to filter records that belong to a specific group or to view all stays, facilitating room changes in group scenarios.

If the room number is known, it can be entered and, by pressing the Search button, the system will access that room directly. Otherwise, all rooms that meet the search parameters will be displayed

Room Selection Window, where you can select the room for subsequent modification.

To select a room from the list of registered rooms, click the Pencil icon.

Once the room is selected, four windows will be displayed:

In the first window, the selected room (the one to be changed) will be shown.

The second window is where you must enter the reason for the room change. The destination room number will appear once you have selected the new room in the next window.

The third window allows you to choose the room to which the change will be made. Once selected, click the Select button.

Return to the second window (Room Change) and click the Perform Room Change button.

Info
The Multiple Folio section displays the charges and transactions associated with the guest’s account that are not linked to the assigned room. This information is shown as a reference during the room change process, allowing the user to verify the account status before performing the change, thus ensuring continuity and correct association of existing charges.
