Concept of Portions

Novohit allows you to create portion-based recipes in a way that simplifies the calculation and consumption of ingredients in a more realistic way (based on the actual operation). This is because ingredients can come in bulk packaging and their impact on the single-serving recipe can be minimal. By applying the concept of portions, it is possible to more truthfully (and operationally) configure the consumptions.

When a product is sold, the system will look for the recipe ingredients. In the recipe, each ingredient has a quantity according to a portion that makes up the recipe. Therefore, at each sale, the quantity reduced will be equal to:

Quantity of Dishes (product sold in POS)  X Quantity of Ingredient within the Recipe.
