Define Point-of-Sale Promotions

In this application the promotions for the Points of Sale are registered and can be registered, modified, deactivated or cancelled and searched.   
Go to: Food and Beverage→ Point of Sales → Define Point-of-Sale Promotions

The initial screen shows the following sections:
Search Promotions of the Point of Sale: The search for registered promotions is performed.
Define Promotions by POS: shows the registered promotions. They can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the columns: Point Of Sale, Active, F. -H. Start, F. -H. End, Applies, Applies, Product Group, Products, Free, Promo Price, % Off, Created, Created By.



Search for Promotions


To search for Promotions, follow these steps:
In the section Search Promotions of the Point of Sale enter the information corresponding to the promotion you are looking for, in the fields:

FieldDescription
Point of SaleSelect the Point of Sale to which the promotion you are looking for belongs.
Promotion NameEnter the name of the promotion.
Days that ApplySelect the day the promotion applies by clicking on the list box.

Click on the Search button.
If the search was successful, the information will be displayed in the section Define Promotions by POS and if not, the message "No records" will appear.
Tip:
You can choose one or several filters, depending on the filters used will be the specificity of the search.


Registration of New Promotions


To register a new promotion, perform the following actions:
Go to: Food and Beverages → Point of Sale → Define Point of Sale Promotions.
In the section Define Promotions by POS click on the Insert icon.
Enter the data corresponding to the promotion in the section Define Point of Sale Promotions in the following fields:

FieldDescription
Point of Sale *Select the Point of Sale to which the promotion belongs.
Promotion Name *It is the name of the promotion assigned in the system.
Enable

  1. Checking or unchecking this check box determines:
  2. Checked: promotion is activated.
  3. Unchecked: the promotion is deactivated.
DescriptionComments regarding the promotion.
Start Date *Enter the day from which the promotion applies mm/dd/yyyy or click on the calendar and choose.
Finalize Date *Enter promotion end date mm/dd/yyyy or click on the calendar and choose.
Start Time *Select hour and minute from which the promotion applies.
End Time *Choose the hour and minute of the end of the promotion.
Days that Apply
Enter the days the promotion applies, e.g. for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday = 1,3,4
Sunday = 0
Monday = 1
Tuesday = 2
Wednesday = 3
Thursday = 4
Friday = 5
Saturday = 6
PriorityIn case there is more than one promotion for the same date, which one will apply.
Group of Products *Select the product group to which the promotion will apply.
Products *Choose the product to which the promotion is assigned.
Zero Price
  1. Checking or unchecking this check box determines.
  1. Checked: the price applied will be Zero.
  2. Unchecked: It does not affect the promotion.
Promotional PriceEnter the amount/sale price to be applied to the promotion.
% Discount over Selling PriceEnter the percentage discount on the sale price to be applied in the promotion.
OrderOrder sequence of the promotions when they are displayed in any application. Must be numeric.
 * Required fields
Click on the Add button. 
Only one of the following fields must be selected.
Product Group or Zero Price or Promotional Price or % Discount on Selling Price



Modify Promotion


To modify any field of products already registered, follow the steps below:
Enter in: Food and Beverage → Point of Sale → Define Point of Sale Promotions.
Search for the promotion to be modified.
In the section Define Promotions by POS, click on the Edit icon of the promotion to be modified.
Modify the corresponding field.
Click on the Save button.




Deactivate Promotions


When the Promotions have already been registered, to protect the integrity of the data, they can only be deactivated by following the steps below:
Enter in: Food and Beverage → Points of Sale → Define Point of Sale Promotions.
Search for the promotion to deactivate.
In the Define Promotions by POS section, click on the EDIT icon of the promotion to deactivate.
Modify the Enable field by clicking on the check box to deactivate the promotion. So, it will appear only in the reports that have registered transactions. 
Click on the Save button.

Delete Promotions


The promotion that has not had any operation registered is allowed to be deleted, by performing the following steps:
Enter in: Food and Beverage → Point of Sale → Define Point of Sale Promotions.
Search for the product to be deleted.
In the section Define Promotions by POS, click on the Edit icon of the promotion to be deleted.
Verify that it is the promotion to be deleted.
Click on the Delete button.
