The Employee Clock In Clock Out (EMPCICO) application is used to track the Clock In Clock Out of employees and further to have a record of hours worked to generate payroll. Upon logging into the EMPCICO the first screen the user will see is:
The blue button on the upper right-hand corner lists the user's initials. When the user clicks on this button the user will see the following screen:
The user may click on Contact (administrator's name) to create an email, copy email address, call, or copy phone number of the administrator.
Below contact, the user may read a copy of the application license, and finally, the logout button to exit the application.
The users name to whom the EMPCICO application was assigned is displayed.
The current date of record-keeping is displayed.
At the start of the shift the user must click Start Shift, to start recording the user's paid work time. Actual work time plus 10 minute breaks will keep the clock running. Lunch and unpaid leave will stop the clock from accumulating paid work time.
Before the work clock starts, the user may have to select a shift type on the following screen.
If the user doesn't see the Shift Type screen, it's because the application administrator has already assigned a shift to the user. On the other hand, the application administrator may have not assigned the user a shift type, meaning the user has to select the shift the user is clocking into.
The application administrator may elect to have employees take a selfie before their shift starts as proof of the user's identity and being at their workstation.
Another option the application administrator has is to elect whether to have a geolocation of where the user clocks in.
The final option the application administrator can make is on Break Type. Based on the shift type structure, the shift may qualify for "X" number of breaks or no breaks. In the event no breaks are assigned to the user's shift, the Break Type button will not appear next to Clock Out as an option on the time accumulation screen. If Break Types are assigned to the shift then a Break Type button will appear to select among the break types assigned to the shift.
After the user clicks on Start Shift on the initial screen and completes the validation process, the application will display the paid work time clock. The user will have the option to Clock Out or take a break on this screen. If breaks are assign to the users shift then the user will see the Break Type screen, where the user will be able to select from paid 10 minute break, lunch, or unpaid leave. At the end of the users shift the user must click Clock Out to stop the paid work time clock. A warning screen will ask, Are you sure you want to clock out? If clock out is confirmed, the application will display a screen with the start, clock out, and the paid work time accumulated.
