Authorized Folio Management FAQ

Register of Authorized Folios - Control of Authorized Folios (CHILE, DTE) FAQ

What happens if I need to change the "Folio from" number in a series that already has used folios?

Modifying the "Folio from" number in a series with used folios disrupts the sequence and could exclude already used folios. Instead of modifying, invalidate the existing series. Set the "Folio to" number to the last used folio and create a new series with the desired folio range.

Why is assigning an approval number important?

Because it is required by the SII for the generation of the DTE. In the rare case that your company uses a third party generation system, enter 0.

Is it necessary to activate the "Validate Expiration" field for all DTE folio types?

Activating "Validate Expiration" is essential for DTE folio types that handle tax (33, 39, 56, 61). Failure to activate this validation may result in the system using expired folios even if marked as "Expired." This validation is not applicable to other folio types like 34, 41, 110, 111, and 112, as they don't have an expiration date.

What does it mean if a folio series is marked as "Expired"?

The "Expired" status indicates that the folios in that series have reached their assigned expiration date.

WarningHowever, the system might still use these expired folios if the "Validate Expiration" field is not activated for the corresponding DTE folio type.

Can I reactivate an expired folio series?

No, you cannot reactivate an expired folio series. Once a series is marked as expired, you need to create a new series with a valid folio range.

How do I prevent the system from using expired folios?

To prevent the system from using expired folios, ensure the "validate expiration" field is activated for the relevant DTE folio types, specifically those handling tax: 33, 39, 56, and 61.

What are the implications of using expired folios?

Using expired folios can lead to compliance issues and rejection of DTEs. It is crucial to maintain accurate folio management and ensure only valid folios are in use.
