Rooms Availability

To make a total availability inquiry go to:  Front Office → Reception → Room Availability
The application will display two sections:
  1. Search Availability of Rooms: allows you to filter availability according to the available parameters.
  2. Verification of Rooms Availability: will display the rooms depending on the query (available, occupied, out of service).

Check Availability



The first section shows the following options:
Field
Description
Type
Select from the drop-down list the type of room to consult, you can consult All or only one.
Status
Select a Type or All. Depending on the parameterization of the hotel the Situation can be Floors, Towers, Sections.
Agency
You can search for availability by Agency or Company, select from the drop-down list the Agency or Company to be consulted.
Date From
You can perform a search at any date in the future, select the start date of the search.
Date To
Select the end date of the search.
Show
Click on the Show button to perform the search.
You should always click the Show button after modifying any parameter.
The second section will show the results of the parameterized search displayed in a table or grid:
Column
Description
Room
Displays room types.
Inv
Displays the total inventory for each room type.
Date (M,T,W,T,F,S,S)
It will show the query for each date indicated in the previous section.
Total
Shows the total number of rooms available or occupied or out of service, according to the query.

The second to last line will show the total number of rooms according to the parameterized search (occupied, available, out of service).
The last line will show the percentage of availability it represents according to the search criteria (occupied, available, out of service).

The legend located at the bottom of the report indicates the percentage level of the total rooms by room type, which is represented by colors to facilitate visual interpretation:

  1. Green: occupancy or availability between 26% and 50%
  2. Yellow: occupancy or availability between 51% and 75%
  3. Red: occupancy or availability equal to or greater than 76%
  4. Lock icon: indicates a closed night
This color-coding criterion applies to both occupied room searches and available room searches.

For this reason, it is important that the user considers the type of search performed (occupancy or availability) in order to correctly interpret the information displayed.

For example, a value highlighted in red may indicate high occupancy or high availability, depending on the context of the query
