Configure ZeptoMail as a Novohit SMTP Server

To send automatic transactional emails, Novohit recommends using a transactional email provider such as ZeptoMail or Twilio (Sendgrid). This guide supports how to configure ZeptoMail as SMTP Server in Novohit.
Novohit recommends ZeptoMail or Twilio (Sendgrid), however if you have any questions regarding these platforms, you should contact the provider directly.

Prior Recommendations


Add SPF, DKIM in your DNS and validate them. https://www.zoho.com/zeptomail/help/spf-dkim-verification.html

Create a Bounce Return Path (Bounce Return Path) according to this guide: https://www.zoho.com/zeptomail/help/bounce-address.html

Information Required

  1. Go to https://zeptomail.zoho.com/ and create a Mail Agent with all authorizations https://www.zoho.com/zeptomail/help/mail-agents.html
  2. Select the Mail Agent created in the previous step and go to Setup Info.
  3. In Setup Info, go to the SMTP tab.
  4. Enable Weaker Credentials 
  5. Copy and paste the following data to Novohit >Configurations > Define Server SMTP:
    1. Server Name -> Server SMTP
    2. Username -> User
    3. Password 1 -> Password
    4. You can use any Port for Port: 465 or 578. If you choose 465, you must indicate SSL in Security Certificate Type, if you choose 578, you must indicate TLS.
    5. Once this information has been inserted, Configuration > Define SMTP Server, when you click on Save, the Verified checkbox should light up and a test email can be sent.
