Recommended Printers and Print Servers

80mm Thermal Printers

For Point-of-Sale printing or 80mm Electronic Invoice Printing, any command printer with the same characteristics as below is valid. The printer must be compliant with modern LPD network protocols and compatible with the universal CUPS system used by Novohit, which you should confirm with your Hardware supplier before purchasing.

Please note that the printers will be shared via network or through the Windows/Mac Workstation PC shared via network, they will not be connected directly to the Novohit server.
  1. Minimum DPI: 180
  2. Connection: Ethernet
  3. Compatibility: CUPS Linux RHEL compatibility for PDF and Generic Text.
    1. For Invoices or Electronic Tickets requires CUPS Linux RHEL support for PDF
    2. For textual commands and ticket without Invoice/Bill, simply Generic Text Driver support.
  1. BIXOLON SRP 350III is proven for text commands and Electronic Invoices/Bills.

Text-Only Printers (NO QR Codes, No PDF417 Codes):

  1. EPSON TM-T Series with Ethernet and CUPS Linux RHEL compatibility for Generic Text.

Full-sized Letter Reports and Bank Check Printers

For Bank Checks, any professional printer compatible with universal CUPS system used by Novohit with the same characteristics as the below list is valid. Recommended brands and models:
  1. KYOCERA ECOSYS M2035 dn/L
  2. Kyocera KM-2810
  3. Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 PXL
  4. HP LASERJET P3005N 35PPM 400MHZ 80RAM
