Novohit performs incremental backups every day after the audit, these incremental backups are stored on our secure Cloud servers for an indefinite period of time. In case of hard disk failure or local server failure, we make the backup available to restore Novohit and operational data.
For reasons of data integrity, security and company policies it is not possible to perform local backups. The backup modalities are the following:
1) Redundancy: RAID on own server.
2) Cloud Backup Service on Novohit Servers.
In case of failure of local disks, incremental backups from our Cloud will be used. The backups can be implemented on a new local server or on a Novohit Cloud installation. For more information about backups, data recovery, cloud recovery, etc., please refer to Novohit Cloud Recovery Service.
Additionally, please note that since 2016, all Novohit installations are performed on servers with RAID, at least two mirrored disks. If your server was installed prior to 2016, we invite you to verify that if you have 2 disks connected (DO NOT DISCONNECT THEM! Just visually verify).

Is There Any Solution to Make the Storage Local, For Example with More Hard Drives on Our Server?
For your security and system stability reasons, NO storage will be done on local or external (peripheral) hard disks as they may affect the performance and/or stability of the system. Additionally, hard disks have a capacity limit, in the Cloud case this is not the case. Furthermore, having an external hard drive exposes them to unwanted data extraction (e.g. someone taking the hard drive with all your data).
NOTE 1: In case of failure of the local server and reinstallation of the Operating System and Novohit is required, the reinstallation service has a preferential cost for clients with Support and Maintenance Contract. Services will be quoted at the time of reinstallation.
NOTE 2: We offer our Cloud Recovery service: in case of local server failure, we activate our Cloud servers so that they can continue working uninterruptedly using the data backups made daily as part of the Support and Updates agreement.
NOTE 3: Operational data includes data generated by the daily operation of Novohit modules. It does not include electronic invoices.
NOTE 4: hotelRSV already has a Cloud Backup service for operational data. It is not necessary to hire any additional service.
